Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and motivate your team with a culture of ownership and high performance
  • Involvement in transport routing
  • Improve and streamline processes, while creating best practices with your colleagues
  • Use your analytical skills to find practical and simple solutions to complex problems
  • Promote Davies Turner's Health and Safety standards, including Group HSE Compliance reporting
  • Act as the responsible and accountable person in respect of the Operator Licence (O Licence)
  • Accountable for Insurance claims management
  • Ensure fleet and driver compliance through active monitoring and reporting

Requirements:

  • Holds Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) National
  • Proven experience in management of a fast-paced traffic office and freight warehouse
  • Excellent knowledge of transport and warehousing methods, costs, and benefits
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing people; experience of people management
  • Committed work ethic demonstrating drive and initiative
  • Passion for delivering continuous improvement with strong problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety
  • The ability to accept criticism and to remain calm, working well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively and a good level of business English
  • Good Administration and IT Skills
