**Overview**

Astra Signs is one of the UK's leading sign makers, established in Manchester in 1984, we have a wealth of experience producing world-class signage for a wide variety of sectors - particularly hospitality, travel & transportation, retail, leisure, and international events.

The role's primary purpose is to help drive warehouse efficiency and accuracy within the warehouse and provide a reliable service to the business. You will be accountable for the full warehouse operation. Additional responsibilities include goods in and goods out, asset management using in house systems as well as the use of internal communication systems to provide excellent customer service.

Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the day-to-day stock management of warehousing facilities, the coordination of stock, and goods in and out, and supporting the delivery and collection of goods as per business requirements.

This is a key position at Astra and carries with it a responsibility to maintain our reputation with new and existing clients.

**Main Role Responsibilities**
- Day-to-day
- Packing and distribution as per business requirements
- Help warehouse supervisor manage stock levels, inventory management, and track the movement of stock.
- Delivery and collection of goods
- Forklift Truck operation as per business requirement
- Support the wider teams with returning faulty equipment.
- Unloading and loading of vehicles to support delivery/ dispatch ensuring all paperwork provided matches all PODs
- Report any damaged or missing goods to management
- Complete Quality inspections of all goods received and report any defects to management and suppliers.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor with Fleet Management
- Make sure all bins are emptied regularly.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules
- Health and Safety
- Carry out and record daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and safety checks of the forklift truck
- Operate following the provided RAMs and complete Dynamic Risk assessments as and when required.
- Carry out regular checks to Company Deliveries/Collections Vehicle).
- Complete regular Warehouse safety audits and work with the Production Manager and Warehouse supervisor to rectify any Non-Conformances.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and safe at all times
- Ensure the Yard is kept clean and safe at all times, recommending any improvements you see relevant

**Other Responsibilities**
- Work as part of the production/Installation team as required to support short deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift truck driving experience
- Competent IT knowledge (Inc Microsoft Office/Google products)
- The ability to work using your own initiative as well as work within a team
- Good people skills and customer service ethic

**Training & Qualifications Desirable**:

- Forklift Truck License (required)
- IPAF 1a, 3a, 3b (desirable)
- PASMA (desirable)
- CSCS card (desirable)

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
