Lead Internal Communications Strategist - CCO/COO

Are you an astute internal communications expert with a drive for engaging teams that interact directly with customers? Do you have a knack for crafting influential communications that propel business achievements and nurture a customer-focused environment? Join us as our Lead Internal Communications and Insights Strategist, supporting our Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) divisions, and contribute to shaping the future of our organization.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote and office work. We are open to various locations for this position.

We prioritize merit in our hiring process.

We believe that diversity and inclusion enhance our organization, and it is the responsibility of everyone at City & Guilds to uphold these values. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented ethnic minority groups and individuals with disabilities.

About the Role

In this dynamic position, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders across various departments including Marketing, Customer Success, External Communications, Product Development, Industry & Sector Specialisms, Operations, Technology, Risk & Compliance, Information Security, and Data Privacy. You will be instrumental in developing and executing internal communication strategies that align with our organizational goals, promote a unified culture, and enhance employee engagement.

Your responsibilities will include crafting clear, engaging, and motivating messages that simplify complex business information into digestible content. By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, you will ensure our communications reflect our core values and support our mission. You will also play a vital role in managing communications during transitions, advocating for customer-centric practices, and assessing the effectiveness of our communication initiatives to promote ongoing enhancement.

About You:

We seek a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in internal communications, especially within customer-facing, technology, and operational environments. Familiarity with the vocational and technical training sector would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite. Your ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders is crucial, as is your proficiency in creating compelling and strategic content. You should be skilled in managing multiple projects, adhering to deadlines, and effectively utilizing digital communication tools. A passion for fostering a customer-centric culture and driving engagement is essential.
