Project Management Specialist

Due to project requirements, only British Nationals will be considered for this role.
We are looking for a seasoned Project Management Specialist to become a part of our team at People Tech.

In this position, you will manage projects across diverse sectors, serving as the primary liaison for clients and ensuring the successful execution of projects within established timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.

Act as the principal point of contact for clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and fostering positive relationships throughout the project duration.


  • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Project Planners, and technical teams to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to budget and quality benchmarks.
  • Assume overall accountability for project execution in line with Business Management Systems.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and seize opportunities to guarantee favorable project results.
  • Employ Product Breakdown Structures (PBS), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) for efficient project oversight.
  • Regularly assess project timelines and financials, applying change control measures as necessary.
  • Instill confidence among stakeholders, including senior management and clients, regarding project advancements.
  • Manage relationships with internal teams and subcontractors to facilitate project delivery while fulfilling technical, programmatic, safety, and commercial obligations.
  • Ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the bidding process for multi-disciplinary projects by providing resource and cost/time estimation data.
  • Exhibit proactive client management with strategic foresight.
  • Oversee the development, distribution, and monitoring of Quality Plans, Bills of Materials, and operational instructions.
APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) is a prerequisite.

  • Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) or equivalent is preferred.
  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
A background in Project Management with a proven history of managing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects is essential.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Capability to plan, schedule, estimate, and manage risks across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience managing projects exceeding £10 million.
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering or related technical fields.
