Position Overview

The purpose of this role is to facilitate the smooth and effective operation of the Management offices by delivering a thorough personal administrative and secretarial support service. This includes comprehensive secretarial assistance, meticulous diary management, coordination of meetings, and a variety of other responsibilities across the spectrum of duties.

Key Qualifications

  • HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in a Management Secretary role
  • Proficiency in various software systems
  • Advanced typing skills
  • Capability to work independently
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Commitment to confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, and discretion

Desirable Skills

  • Relevant experience within the NHS in an administrative or secretarial capacity
  • Knowledge of SSTS Reports
  • Competence in coordinating schedules for senior staff
  • Ability to manage daily diaries effectively
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Skill in prioritizing and managing workload to align with organizational goals
  • Attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including minute-taking and effective interaction with a diverse range of individuals
  • Flexibility in working hours

Employment Type

This is a full-time, fixed-term position.

Work Environment

The role will be situated within the Management Team.
