Your Role

As the Head of Marketing Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity and fostering a deep emotional connection with our customers. Your efforts will be instrumental in enhancing brand loyalty and expanding our market presence.

As a vital member of the commercial leadership team, you will engage with key stakeholders across various departments, including Impact, Finance, and our innovation center. Your insights will drive high-level decision-making, cultivate a consumer-centric culture, and guide us towards our future business aspirations.

Your success will be evident when our brand becomes a household name, recognized in supermarkets and food service outlets nationwide. You will contribute significantly to our vibrant culture at GrowUp Farms, thriving in a dynamic environment with ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution (25%)

  • Center consumer needs and sustainability in all planning and execution efforts.
  • Develop comprehensive strategies to position us as the leading brand in the salad category.
  • Formulate and implement marketing strategies for both new and existing product lines.
  • Oversee the design and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Ensure alignment of our brand with our sustainability objectives, advocating for relevant consumer issues.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and accurate financial forecasting.
  • Support the Product Director and Sales Head in the integrated business planning process.

Market Analysis and Insights (10%)

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Strategy Director to ensure consumer insights drive our brand decisions.
  • Leverage market research to identify trends in the Fruit and Veg sector, keeping us ahead of consumer demands.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess marketing effectiveness, allowing for agile decision-making.
  • Provide actionable insights to guide marketing strategies and business decisions.

Brand Management (40%)

  • Develop and uphold our brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all marketing communications.
  • Enhance our brand identity, fostering emotional connections with consumers.
  • Maintain our brand book and lead the organization in embodying our brand values.
  • Increase brand visibility and reputation through strategic partnerships and PR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product and commercial strategy teams to ensure a robust product pipeline.
  • Lead product ideation from a consumer perspective, ensuring relevance and compliance in messaging.
  • Design and implement product launch strategies, transitioning day-to-day management to the sales team.
  • Oversee all agency partnerships across creative, media, and digital platforms.

Team Leadership (25%)

  • Clarify the complexities of vertical farming through compelling storytelling and effective communication.
  • Structure the Marketing team to efficiently execute our marketing strategy as a unified force.
  • Inspire the Marketing team and broader organization with innovative ideas that drive results.
  • Challenge the status quo and encourage continuous improvement aligned with our values.
  • Be a visible leader, fostering collaboration and accountability within the team.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and finance to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Establish robust operational frameworks while encouraging creative thinking and agility.
