Child Support Specialist (Primary Education)

Location: Preston

Hours: Full-time, 8.45am to 15.15pm

Hourly Pay: £12.90

We are looking for a committed Child Support Specialist to become part of our team at a dynamic Primary Education setting in Preston. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to enhance the growth and welfare of children within a nurturing educational framework.

Position Summary:

As a Child Support Specialist at our Primary Education facility, you will deliver crucial teaching assistant support, concentrating on assisting underprivileged children in their academic pursuits. Your background as a youth support professional will be essential in recognizing and addressing the unique needs of these learners, cultivating a caring and inclusive environment within the educational community.

Primary Duties:

1. Facilitate the execution of educational programs and support sessions in collaboration with teaching staff.

2. Actively engage with students, promoting involvement and encouraging positive behavior.

3. Aid in the social and emotional growth of children, ensuring a secure and supportive learning atmosphere.

4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to guarantee the well-being and advancement of all students.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience as a youth support professional or in a related capacity is highly preferred.

2. A sincere enthusiasm for working with children and assisting them in overcoming obstacles.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

4. Capability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

5. Relevant qualifications or training in youth support or education are beneficial.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
Teaching Personnel is devoted to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We conduct safeguarding checks on all personnel in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', which may also involve an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
We provide all our registered candidates with FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have completed a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full support is available.
