Child Support Specialist (Primary Education)

Location: Preston

Hours: Full-time, 8.45am to 15.15pm

Hourly Pay: £12.90

Position Summary:

As a Child Support Specialist at our Primary Education institution, you will deliver vital teaching assistant support, concentrating on assisting students who may face challenges in their learning experiences. Your background as a youth worker will be crucial in recognizing and addressing the unique needs of these children, cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment within the educational community.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the implementation of educational programs and support sessions in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Engage actively with students, promoting involvement and encouraging positive behavior.
  • Support the emotional and social development of children, ensuring a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the welfare and advancement of all students.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a youth worker or in a comparable role is highly preferred.
  • A sincere enthusiasm for working with children and assisting them in overcoming obstacles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in youth work or education are beneficial.

All stated pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
Teaching Personnel is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We conduct safeguarding checks on all employees in accordance with DfE statutory guidance. This may also involve an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
