Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist

Location: Lancashire

Compensation: £ - £ per hour

Work Schedule: 3 days over 7, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist will:

  • Oversee a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality care to service users.
  • Manage the performance of clinical staff in accordance with organizational policies, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate active participation of service users and their families in care planning and review processes.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all departments, both internal and external to Brainkind.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess:

  • NMC Registration as a Nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Completion of accredited mentor training or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.

  • Proven leadership abilities within a clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of current regulations within the independent care sector.
  • Expertise in best practices for the relevant client group.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to service users and their families.

  • Experience in providing mentorship and teaching in a clinical setting.

The role involves:

  • Delegating tasks clearly while ensuring safe practices are upheld.
  • Planning and managing staff coverage to ensure adequate clinical support.
  • Assessing and managing risks to protect both staff and service users.
  • Contributing to quality assurance processes and clinical audits.
  • Promoting high standards of care in line with established guidelines and organizational policies.
