Position Overview

Lead Clinical Nurse

Location: Lancashire

Compensation: £ - £ per hour

Work Schedule: 3 days a week, including weekends.

Our facilities, including assessment centers and rehabilitation units, employ specialized neurorehabilitation techniques to assist individuals in reclaiming lost skills. We cater to a diverse range of brain injuries resulting from various causes, including trauma and illness, to facilitate recovery and personal growth. Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Clinical Nurse will:

  • Oversee a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic care for service users.
  • Implement effective performance management strategies for clinical staff, adhering to Brainkind's policies regarding recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation.
  • Facilitate participation of service users and their families in care planning and review processes.
  • Maintain open communication and collaboration with all departments, both internal and external to Brainkind.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess:

  • NMC Registration as a Nurse with relevant post-registration clinical experience.
  • Completion of NMC accredited mentor training or a willingness to complete such training.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership abilities in a clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of current regulations within the independent care sector.
  • Expertise in best practices for the relevant client group.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to service users and their families.
  • Ability to manage conflict and facilitate change effectively.
  • Experience in providing mentorship and education in a clinical setting.

Accountability:

The Lead Clinical Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective duty rosters.
  • Assessing and managing risks to safeguard both staff and service users.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of nursing practices and services.
  • Maintaining compliance with Brainkind's policies and procedures.
