About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team at Brainkind. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in leading and managing a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for service users.
  • Ensure effective performance management of all clinical staff, in line with Brainkind policies and procedures.
  • Hold line management responsibility for Registered Nurses and work alongside and/or support volunteers within the team.
  • Maintain good communication and liaison with all other departments, internal and external to Brainkind.

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in the clinical field.
  • Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Person Specification

  • Proven ability to build, lead, and influence an effective team in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
  • Knowledge of best clinical practice for client group.
  • Demonstrable experience of practising in a self-directed and highly motivated way.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Able to effectively manage change.
  • An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting.
