About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support the delivery of high-quality care and professional practice within our Specialist Network.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operational leadership of key aspects of the Director of Nursing & Quality portfolio
  • Provide visible professional and clinical leadership within the Specialist Network
  • Support the delivery of Nursing and Quality objectives within key areas including Clinical and Professional Practice, Clinical Governance, Risk, Performance and Improvement
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health or Learning Disabilities
  • First Degree (Health subject)
  • Educated to relevant masters degree or prepared to study towards masters with demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
Key Skills and Experience
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise across a number of areas e.g. clinical, personnel, finance
  • Experience of effective redesign and improvement methodologies
  • Political awareness of and sensitiveness to the interactions and interdependencies between the NHS and non-NHS organisations
