About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Leader to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Risk team, you will play a vital role in driving the design and delivery of risk management initiatives across the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies and policies to ensure the Trust's risk management systems and processes are effective and efficient.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and assess risks, and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on risk management best practices to Trust staff.
  • Develop and maintain the Trust's Corporate Risk Register and Board Assurance Framework.
  • Lead and manage a team of risk management professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality risk management services.

Requirements

  • Masters qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as risk management or governance.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management frameworks, including the NHS Risk Management Framework.
  • Proven experience of leading risk management teams and developing risk management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel between sites and attend off-site meetings as required.
