About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Valuation Manager to join our Strategic Property Department at Powys County Council. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of our property valuation service and the effective management of our land and property portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of the property valuation service, ensuring compliance with RICS Red Book and CIPFA best practice.
  • Provide strategic valuation advice to senior management and elected members.
  • Contribute to the commercial and transactional sections of the estates practice, maximising capital and revenue income.
  • Lead on Council valuation and regeneration/re-development matters, including the preparation and reviewing of Asset Valuations.
  • Improve processes and procedures to ensure that our buildings are maintained to a high standard and are performing for their intended purpose.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of property valuation and management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
