About the Team

The Business Transformation division at Schroders operates on a hub-and-spoke model, featuring dedicated change teams integrated within each business division, all contributing to a centralized Business Transformation function.

The Role

In the capacity of Business Transformation Director for the Complex Client & Commercial Portfolio, you will spearhead the development and execution of the change portfolio across Schroders' entities to fulfill strategic business objectives. Your proven history of managing and delivering intricate transformational change will be pivotal in defining and executing change initiatives that align with Schroders' strategic vision.

Role Responsibilities

The essential skills we seek in this position include:

Responsible for the successful delivery of the Complex Client and Commercial Change Portfolio. Empower cross-functional teams to drive operational enhancements. Supervise technology implementation as part of the change portfolio. Exhibit expertise in both tactical and strategic requirements. Monitor and enact changes to strategic initiatives. Master the processes of business transition and change management. Actively participate in the Portfolio Governance Board. Lead the Change Board, ensuring robust governance practices. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring value for money and benefit realization. Address resolutions to project escalations. Provide leadership to change team members, fostering their development and nurturing a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What Success Looks Like

Your success will be evaluated based on:

Effective execution and delivery of programs. Adherence to budget constraints while prioritizing initiatives. Ensuring design governance and complete transparency in portfolio delivery. Clarity in program status. Timely management of program risks and challenges. Feedback gathered from staff surveys.

Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

Proven experience as a Transformation Director or in a significant comparable role. Extensive understanding of the financial services sector. Experience in change leadership and strategic transformation. Familiarity with various delivery methodologies. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities. Strong leadership qualities. Degree-level education or equivalent experience.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in managing complex client relationships within the financial services sector, possess a solid understanding of commercial portfolio management strategies, exhibit excellent negotiation skills, and show competence in commercial risk assessment. Additionally, fluency in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling is essential.
