About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custody Nurse/Paramedic to lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to detained individuals. As a Custody Nurse/Paramedic Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a small team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that they are supervised and appraised appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing detained individuals with assessments and ensuring their care and wellbeing needs are met.
  • Manage the rota and cover for the team as needed.
  • Supervise and appraise healthcare professionals to ensure they are meeting the required standards.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and Lead Senior to ensure that local processes follow National Clinical Governance Standards and the Forces' specific needs.

Requirements

  • Qualified RN Adult, RMN's (with dual registration), RGNs or Paramedics.
  • Minimum of 12 months previous Custody experience, 2 years post-qualification experience in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health, or Ambulance Service as an Adult RN.
  • 3 years UK residency.
  • Current manual driving license with no restrictions to travel to other custody suites or local hospitals.
  • Police vetting checks.
