We are in search of qualified Lead Healthcare Specialists to collaborate with our teams in assisting Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in delivering support to patients receiving health funding.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the Personalised Healthcare Commissioning service across the region. Operating within the framework of the National Guidelines for Continuing Healthcare and other NHS funding mechanisms, the individual will provide a proficient and effective level of service, consistently prioritizing client needs.

Candidates should be adept at managing complex and occasionally contentious information.

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Healthcare Specialist will be expected to:

  • Take charge of Continuing Healthcare assessments across the designated Integrated Care Board (ICB) area.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding, ensuring adherence to current practices and promoting best practices in clinical settings.
  • Respond to ICB priorities and expectations while representing them in collaboration with NHS Continuing Healthcare.

Essential Qualifications

  • Registration as a healthcare professional (RGN, RMN, RNLD, AHP).
