Job Purpose

The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for driving the client pipeline for our Fortune 500 clients. This role plays a critical part in managing a sales region or industry and executing various sales campaigns via phone and email to generate leads and accelerate a sales-ready pipeline. The Sales Development Specialist will build relationships with C-Suite Executives, Sales VPs, and Territory Managers. They will assist in creating a territory plan to capture comprehensive feedback on campaigns and customer trends in order to execute effective sales strategies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Develops and cultivates sales leads to strengthen outbound activity as it relates to meeting the goals of our supported clients
  • Collaborates with team members to develop a pipeline that reinforces lead generation and revenue goals within a metrics-driven environment
  • Educates, influences, and articulates the optimal sales solution to valued clients as a means of moving the sale forward
  • Identifies key decision makers, builds and maintains relationships, and establishes trust with stakeholders.
  • Conducts discovery calls, schedules appointments, and prepares detailed call summaries for Account Executives and sales partners.
  • Utilizes various software tools and client-specific systems to conduct account-based marketing, manage leads, source prospects, view contracts, etc.
  • Uses various software tools to extract, prepare, and deliver data regarding sales forecasts and activity reports to the appropriate parties.
  • Participates in client-specific meetings with stakeholders to provide and review sales forecasts and goals.
  • Effectively overcomes sales objections in a professional manner.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or higher preferred (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of)
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a client-facing role
  • Experience utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize within a fast-paced environment
  • Outbound calling experience within a business setting is beneficial
