About the Role

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our CAMHS Rapid Response team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality mental health assessments and delivering short-term interventions to young people in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct High-Quality Assessments: Utilize your expertise to conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop effective clinical formulations.
  • Respond to Crisis Calls: Provide timely and compassionate support to young people and their families in crisis situations.
  • Lead Shifts and Supervise Clinicians: Demonstrate leadership skills by leading shifts and supervising other clinicians to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain Accurate Clinical Records: Ensure that all clinical records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant Degree and Core Profession: You must hold a degree in a relevant field and be a core profession (e.g., nursing, psychology).
  • Experience in Mental Health and Complex Needs: You must have experience working with mental health and complex needs, including skilled mental health assessments and formulation.
  • Full UK Driving License and Vehicle Access: You must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to Supervise Shifts: You must have the ability and experience to supervise shifts.
