Technical Support Specialist

Location: Wolverhampton (i54)

We are looking for a dedicated First Line Technical Support Specialist to deliver comprehensive IT assistance throughout the Tyman UK&I division. This role emphasizes customer service, where you will efficiently address a variety of IT and technical support inquiries from colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering IT support, advice, and guidance to end-users on a wide array of IT service requests.

- Contributing to the enhancement and development of the division-wide support operations.

- Collaborating with the IT Manager and the broader team as necessary.

- Assisting with general hardware challenges (laptops, PCs, servers, printers, etc.).

- Providing support for standard software applications such as MS Office 365, SharePoint, and Windows 10/11.

- Acting as the administrator for systems including end-user backup solutions, signature software, asset inventory, and auditing.

- Ensuring the IT support helpdesk is consistently updated and managing the system on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in a first-line IT support role or relevant qualifications in this area, such as CompTIA, CISCO, or Microsoft certifications.

- Strong understanding of general Microsoft software and network connectivity, including TCP/IP, VPN, and VLANs.

- Familiarity with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Cisco Meraki, ESXi, and Mimecast is advantageous.

- A flexible mindset, with the capability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

- Exceptional communication skills, with a professional and proactive approach to customer service.
