Finance Operations Assistant
Location: North Tawton
Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Finance Operations Assistant to join our team at the Head office in North Tawton.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Operations Assistant include:
- Reconciling purchase invoices with received orders using our DB Capture software.
- Collaborating with various departments to address any pricing discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
- Conducting supplier statement reconciliations as necessary.
- Working collaboratively with other finance team members and departments to deliver a professional and supportive service to all suppliers and colleagues.
- Timely escalation of issues, ensuring critical information is communicated regularly to relevant teams and individuals.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, delivering exceptional customer service and resolving any account-related queries.
- Proposing system enhancements to facilitate improved and more efficient processes.
- Performing general finance housekeeping tasks.
Essential Qualifications for the Finance Operations Assistant:
- Experience in finance or accounts administration.
- Strong communication skills across all levels.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet daily deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Sage or similar software.
