Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Gregory Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Match purchase invoices to receipted orders within our DB Capture software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers to resolve price queries and discrepancies, maintaining strong relationships and providing excellent customer service.
- Statement Reconciliations: Perform supplier statement reconciliations as required, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other AP colleagues and the wider business to provide a professional and helpful service to all suppliers and colleagues.
- Issue Escalation: Promptly escalate issues, sharing significant information with relevant departments and individuals to ensure timely resolution.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for system improvements, making recommendations to support better and more efficient processes.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general AP housekeeping tasks, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working within accounts/finance administration, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Determined attitude towards problem-solving, with a focus on finding creative solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Sage or equivalent.
