The Role: Accounts Payable Assistant
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Match purchase invoices to receipted orders within our database system.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team to provide a professional and efficient service to suppliers and colleagues.
- Proactively escalate issues and ensure clear communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any account-related inquiries.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to accounts payable.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in accounts/finance administration.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software such as Sage.
