Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Control Specialist to join our team at Gregory Distribution Careers. As a Credit Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Credit Evaluation: Work with the Accounts Receivable team to evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers through analysis, credit checking, and payment history review.
  • Customer Record Management: Create new customer records within company systems and maintain accurate customer data and records.
  • Credit Limit Setting: Assist with setting appropriate credit limits for customers based on risk assessment and expected volumes.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile sales ledger to include daily receipt postings.
  • Payment Monitoring: Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies promptly.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to establish payment plans and ensure adherence to payment terms.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and address any queries or concerns relating to credit matters.
  • Cash Position Optimization: Review regular aged creditors/payment runs to identify and carry out contras to maximise cash position.

Requirements:
