We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker to become part of a CONTEMPORARY Semi-Independent residential facility. In this role, you will be providing assistance to young adults aged 16-18 who are facing Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and exhibiting challenging behaviours.

Position: Support Worker

Salary: £31,840 - £34,240 (Including sleep-in shifts)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week plus 2 sleep-in shifts

Shift Schedule: 7:30am - 10pm - sleep - 7am - 9am

**Candidates must possess a Full UK Driving Licence due to the nature of the role**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young individuals to engage in activities and take ownership of their lives.
  • Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the home.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviours as necessary.
  • Safeguard young people from potential health and welfare risks.
  • Provide essential support to promote independence and well-being.
  • Ensure a safe living environment for all residents.
  • Stay informed about each individual's care plan, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred communication methods.
  • Support young people through difficult behaviours with empathy and care.
  • Foster strong working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in other healthcare or social care settings is advantageous but not required.
  • A valid driving license is necessary as transporting young people may be required.
  • Candidates must be over the age of 21.
  • Ability to commute to the workplace is essential.
