Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing practical, personal, social, and financial support to young individuals aged 16 to 18 years to foster their independence and self-esteem.
  • Documenting reports, support plans, and risk assessments to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.
  • Identifying potential risks and concerns, collaborating with the broader team to safeguard young people's well-being.
  • Assisting young individuals with educational pursuits, skill development, employment opportunities, and community engagement.
  • Ensuring a welcoming environment, encouraging individuals to engage in their hobbies and interests.
  • Employing innovative strategies to promote young people's growth and ambitions.
  • Coordinating with external organizations and managing complex situations effectively.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal abilities to cultivate trusting relationships.
  • Experience in working with youth or managing challenging behaviors.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills.
  • Empathy and insight into the experiences of young individuals transitioning from care.
  • Professionalism, with a readiness to work flexible hours.
  • Capability to maintain precise records and produce written documentation.
  • Preferred - QCF Level 3 in children's residential care, valid UK driving license.

Candidates must successfully complete an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce.
