About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Universal Business Team. As a key member of our pre-contracts team, you will play a critical role in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities while managing a sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to pre-contracts stage.

This is a key role in driving sales growth, specializing in high-value architectural projects across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders, as well as following up on enquiries and tracking projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline of leads
  • Maintain and grow relationships with contractors and clients
  • Manage the full sales process from enquiry to pre-contracts
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and presentations to secure new business
  • Update and manage the CRM system with ongoing project data
  • Achieve daily KPIs including calls, meetings, and booked orders
  • Attend daily and weekly sales meetings to drive team success

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in project sales, with a successful track record of achieving targets
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage longer sales cycles and high-value projects
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a hunger to succeed
  • Experience in sectors such as construction, fit-out, signage, or related industries is desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility to travel across the region for client meetings
