Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Account Handler to enhance our Corporate & Commercial division. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service in managing new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, ensuring that our clients receive optimal coverage and pricing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the achievement of client retention goals by providing outstanding service.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop effective renewal strategies and participate in client meetings as required.
  • Gather renewal terms and present them professionally to clients.
  • Create and distribute comprehensive summaries and reports utilizing Howden's templates.
  • Ensure timely issuance of renewal documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Manage premium collection prior to the start of coverage, adhering to Howden's protocols.
  • Prioritize and execute all tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Address all inquiries, whether written or verbal, in a professional manner, ensuring compliance with service standards.
  • Document all relevant interactions and maintain accurate records on Acturis, utilizing the diary system effectively.
  • Generate precise and professional documentation consistently using Howden's templates.
  • Process adjustments according to established procedures, including notifying insurers and issuing revised documentation.
  • Refer complex queries to senior staff for resolution.
  • Assist and collaborate with other branches and Group Resources as needed.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Proficient understanding of general insurance principles and adherence to the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate insurance is essential.
  • Commitment to personal development and staying current through e-learning and professional courses.
  • Strong technical insurance skills, evaluated through regular assessments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Efficient work processing abilities and effective prioritization of tasks.
  • Exceptional client service and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze client information and adapt communication accordingly.
  • Proficiency in influencing and persuading stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A levels are desirable.
  • Certificate in Insurance is advantageous.
