Key Account Executive

MacGregor Black is collaborating with a leading global brand in consumer electronics to find a Key Account Executive. This is a permanent opportunity.

As a Key Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to manage, acquire, and sustain long-term relationships with key clients by comprehending their needs. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering robust connections with strategic partners. You will identify client requirements to advocate for our company's offerings and ensure mutual satisfaction. The objective is to contribute to the sustainability and growth of our business for long-term success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the National Account Channel Manager, you will oversee multiple brands within a selected group of national retailers.
  • Manage key retail partners, ensuring the business can meet the unique demands of each retailer through consistent and rapid growth.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy closely aligned with our brand partners to ensure we meet and exceed their growth targets and future aspirations.
  • Establish retail sales objectives, annual forecasts, and implement necessary actions to ensure their achievement, presenting updates regularly.
  • Identify business opportunities and collaborate with internal resources to address needs.
  • Take full ownership and accountability for the accuracy of your forecasts, coordinating with the Sales Operation Manager, Demand Planners, and Brand Managers to ensure adequate stock availability aligned with planned marketing initiatives.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of key client needs and assess the business's capabilities to support them both now and in the future.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your retail accounts to maximize sales opportunities while continually evaluating their long-term commercial viability.
  • Enhance the profitability of your accounts by utilizing all available resources. Regularly negotiate terms and pricing while optimizing processes and minimizing returns.
  • Prepare weekly reports detailing progress, sales, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Management team to define pricing and product offerings for each brand opportunity within each retail partner.
  • Drive incremental sales by identifying and proactively pursuing new channels and retailers. Use your expertise and determination to generate new leads and enhance the business's value proposition.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success at a national account sales level.
  • Proven ability to generate profitable sales with a focus on both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Current knowledge of key national retailers is advantageous.
  • Experience in the electrical retail sector in the UK is beneficial, along with an understanding of premium brands.
  • Self-motivated and experienced professional with a proactive approach.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including occasional international travel.
