What you'll be doing:
The Head of IT Service Desk will manage and support the teams working in the service desk area. You'll be responsible for the performance of the service desk, ensuring we are meeting customer needs and achieving targets, SLAs and KPI’s. You'll also drive continuous improvement and work closely with our customers and other teams to ensure that our services are align to their needs.
You will understand organisational culture, leading to improving the quality, productivity and efficiency of the service desk to ensure goals are achieved. You'll be accountable for multiple teams within the service desk covering incident management, service request management as well as being involved in other ITIL disciplines like Problem Management and Service Transition
Additional responsibilities include:
- Driving and improving the performance of the Service Desk to meet ever increasing business demand and requirements.
- Managing and supporting the team managers in the area, including coaching/mentoring and personal development
- Contributing to senior management forums for IT, and contribute to the IT strategy.
We want to hear from you if you:
- Have previous experience managing team manager level or above from a Service Management/Service Desk background
- Have experience in resource management skills
- Can demonstrate experience in effectively delegating tasks whilst conforming to service level/quality agreements
- Have exceptional customer service skills and strong commercial awareness
- Are ITIL qualified
