This role entails supporting the Director and Associate Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in conceptualising, developing and delivering EDI initiatives across the organisation.

Working closely with and aligned to a Clinical group; Evelina London, you will partner with the wider Trust working closely with colleagues, partners, patients, carers and key stakeholders both internally and externally to achieve this.

You will be working closely with senior leaders and expected to learn and share your thoughts and recommendations in leadership and management forums.

The Trust EDI team work together in leading change; improvement initiatives; engaging, motivating staff and harnessing the potential of staff; to ensure there is no experiential difference between groups of people based on any of the recognised protected characteristics and beyond.

Ensuring patients and members of the public are at the centre of the services on offer and positively impact upon the context and culture of the organisation - taking a system based approach and supporting NHS staff to design and deliver great equitable and appropriate patient care.

You will be working within a very committed, compassionate and expert EDI team. Based within the HR function we work aligned to Clinical groups, Delivery group and corporate functions.

Co-ordinate Equality & Diversity activity complying with the Equality Act 2010, specifically workforce related programmes, including Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES), Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES), Reverse Mentoring, Diverse Panels, Staff Networks, Disability Confident accreditation, Rainbow Badge, Accessible Information Standard (AIS), Equality Delivery Standard (EDS22), and any other EDI related frameworks as appropriate.

Work with relevant staff to ensure EDI performance framework is updated and accessible for the EDI Board members and meetings.

Provide advice and support to managers and clinicians in making adjustments to existing staff services and systems to ensure that the equality agenda is embedded into their respective areas.

Highlight needs/gaps and risks in EDI agenda bringing this information to the attention of the organisation.

Support the development of the GSTT Equality & Diversity Strategy and Action Plan that addresses the needs of both staff and patients.

Ensure processes are implemented and maintained to facilitate business wide service planning, information sharing and dissemination of good practice across the Trust.
