Are you an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor with experience of working in the higher education sector? Would you like to work for a university offering hybrid working with equality at the core of their mission?

The University was founded over 120 years ago and is a world-leading centre for research and public and global health. They work in partnerships with governments,academia, health services along with international agencies.

The purpose of this 6-month temporary Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor is to develop and implement EDI strategies, policies and initiatives, ensuring the university develops and implements inclusive practices.

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor role paying £24.89 per hour allows the post holder to work mainly from home, only in the office 8-days per month. You will be based in their central London office which is located in Fitzrovia.

The key responsibilities of the EDI Advisor include:

- Advising and co-ordinating the development of the EDI interventions aimed to progress EDI across the university.
- Contributing to policy review and development, liaising and consulting with key stakeholders to ensure high levels of engagement, participation and compliance.
- Working with EDI networks and committees to ensure that the university is actively considering equality, diversity and inclusion issues and principles throughout its decision-making processes and strategy development.
- Working alongside strategic partners (e.g. the Events Team), to organise and deliver annual events.
- Co-ordinating equality data, in collaboration with the EDI and HR teams, to support an evidence-based data-driven approach to tackling structural inequalities and developing evidence-based EDI interventions.
- Developing, maintaining and regularly updating key EDI information resources and make these readily available to staff and students across the School.

You will be able to play a key role in implementing a broad range of equality, diversity and inclusion activities.It would be beneficial to have experience of working within a large organisation, preferably within an educational environment, including positive action and anti-racist activities.
