**About the Practice/Department/Team**

Lakeside St Neots has three practices across the town, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic within a Primary care role, and want to support and lead a team. You will have a good eye for detail and want to ensure targets are met with a good quality standard, whilst supporting the team to be mutli-skilled in all administration tasks.

The Patient Services Administration team’s priority role is receiving patient data and ensuring patients medical records are updated. Processing patient prescription requests and working alongside the clinical pharmacy team. Referring patients to community and secondary care using information provided by clinical members of staff, deducting patients who have left the practice and summarising patients medical records new to the practice.

We are currently looking for a full-time Administrator Team Lead to join our small, friendly team.

The Management Team are a highly motivated group of amazing individuals who strive to bring the best service possible to our patients.

**Job Introduction**

Working closely with the Operations & Admin Manager this role will serve as the main point of contact for the Administration Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the work carried out in the Administration Team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring targets are met.

To co-ordinate the team, ensuring that cover is maintained in accordance with the rota and that additional cover is organised at times of unplanned absence

**What you will do**
- You will carry out all aspects of team management including recruitment, selection and interview of potential new team members.
- Carry out appraisals, interim and probationary reviews.
- Organise inductions and training plans with regular 1:1s to be able to monitor performance, highlighting any issues.
- Plan and manage holidays and sickness absence within the team including back to work interviews in accordance with sickness management policies.
- Organise and Lead regular team meetings.

**Essential Criteria**

You will need a good standard of education and working knowledge of IT systems, however training on specific IT systems will be provided. A can-do attitude with good organisational schemes is essential, you will need to be reactive to situations that may occur and be a calm, positive and helpful addition to our growing the team.
