**Business Administration Assistant | Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Edinburgh | Full time | Competitive Salary**
Spire Murrayfield Hospital is recruiting for a Business Administration Assistant to assist in ensuring that all administrative processes within the hospital comply with Spire guidelines.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Identification of billing problems and placing billing alerts, suspending and clearing as required. Follow-up of billing queries and liasing with Central Finance and hospital based team on billing queries
- Ensure patient & consultant queries are dealt with promptly, liaising with central finance and other departments as required. Including ensuring all charges are posted at month end
- Support the department with posting charges to patients accounts and support other departments around the hospital with charging queries
- Ensuring consultants charges are processed accurately and paid promptly
- Work closely with staff across all functional areas to ensure business office related tasks are carried out seamlessly
- Cashiering/banking duties in relation to self-pay deposits point of sale billing and credit card handling. Posting of entries to accounting system
- Supporting the daily preparation of bank reconciliation & clearing down queried items
- Preparation and distribution of daily reports to departments as required
- Dealing with day-to-day finance queries from customers and consultants. Liaison point for Central Finance
- Charging and posting of all miscellaneous items and invoices as required
- Recording and distribution of consultant monies received at the hospital
**Who we're looking for**:
- 3 years + office based experience
- Numerate with a high attention to detail
- First class communication / interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Accurate keyboard skills
