Divisional Clinical Innovation and Improvement Fellows
These exciting roles provides a unique opportunity to join the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWHFT) team to support our innovation and improvement aims.
These roles are designed to develop future clinical leaders by supporting them in a 12-month project-based attachment in one of the 4 Clinical Divisions at the Trust. Working with Divisional Medical, Nursing and Operational Directors and with close links to the Executive Directors, the post holders will lead the development of improvements that support the organisation’s clinical, quality and financial strategies and to support the embedding of a range of digital and improvement solutions that help. We welcome a dedicated clinician who has proven interest in quality improvement, multi-disciplinary learning, and clinical leadership. This prestigious opportunity is highly recommended for aspiring clinical leaders.
These posts require cross-site working between Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. The fellow(s) will report to the respective Divisional Triumvirate Teams (Operational, Medical and Nursing Directors), who will support them in leading their programmes of work. They will also have an Executive Director mentor during their placement with the Trust.
The post holder will be expected to undertake the following duties:
- Ensure Divisional understanding and adoption of the range of Digital tools and processes available to improve clinical care and optimise operational efficiencies.
- Manage and deliver projects within a quality improvement framework
- Identify areas for cost improvement programmes
- Facilitate continued staff engagement within the Trust
- Commensurate with experience, provide clinical and quality improvement leadership for agreed projects
- Deliver quality improvement training and up-skilling to colleagues
- Provide timely and effective clinical advice and leadership
- Provide written reports and verbal updates on progress, including risks and issues
- Attend educational and development opportunities associated with the Fellowship
- Participate in all aspects of the Fellowship scheme and its evaluation
- Act as an ambassador for the Fellowship scheme and promote clinical leadership
