**Family Intervention Senior Practitioner - Wakefield Awareness Support Project**

**Salary - £11,139.50 (£22,279 full time equivalent)**

**Contract - 18 hours to include 2 evenings per week (flexible hours to be discussed at interview)**

Wasp is a service with a unique approach to supporting the emotional well-being of children and young people. It’s aimed at children and young people dealing with anxiety and low mood due to Autism Spectrum Condition or other neuro-developmental conditions, diagnosed or not.

**What you'll be doing as a Senior Practitioner**:

- You will provide a caring and supportive environment for children and young people with Autism and Neuro Developmental conditions
- You’ll support parents, carers and families and give them the confidence to connect with other families in the same situations as themselves
- You will demonstrate a professional attitude towards our partners and develop trusting relationships within the health, education, social care, CAMHS sector and all other specialist services
- You will provide a holistic approach working as a specialist with all internal and external individuals
- You will be attending and developing agency meetings to discuss referral pathways and parent training interventions
- You’ll support colleagues, the wider team and volunteers with lived-in experience to develop and progress their knowledge within the organisation
- You will have the ability to competently manage a busy case load and person-centred support plans. You will also analyse and complete risk assessments and comply with all Kids policies and procedures
- You will have the experience and knowledge to safeguard the welfare of children and young people
