We are seeking a highly skilled Family Support Worker to join our team in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Early Help Offer, working closely with colleagues to support the delivery of services to families. This role requires a strengths-based approach, focusing on reducing risk and increasing resilience for children.

About the Role

This is an excellent chance to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the delivery of services that promote the wellbeing of children, young people, and families. The ideal candidate will have experience of working directly with children, young people, and families with complex needs and risk.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Early Help Offer, adopting a whole-family approach to reduce risk and increase resilience for children.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the delivery of services to families.
  • Support individuals, parents, children, and young people with long histories of challenging behaviors.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Children's Care Learning and Development, Certificate in Youth Work practice, or Health and Social Care.
  • A full driving licence (unless unable to drive through disability).
  • An understanding of the principles that support and promote the wellbeing of children, young people, and families.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
