Wakefield Council is seeking a dedicated Family Hub Support Worker to join our team and support the delivery of the Early Help Offer for children and their families.

The successful candidate will adopt a whole family, strengths-based approach to reduce risk, increase resilience and improve outcomes for children. This will involve facilitating groups such as the 'Freedom Programme' and 'Who's in Charge' with colleagues from the hub and from our partner agencies, as well as groups and activities for children.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that services are delivered in compliance with relevant legislation, local and national policy, and guidance. The ideal candidate will have experience of working directly with children, young people, and families with complex needs and risk in a relevant setting.

A key aspect of this role will be to support and engage with individuals, parents, children, and young people who have long histories of challenging and risky behaviours. You will also need to hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent, relevant to the work area.

Salary: £28,000 per annum.
