**Moore Barlow is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our Court of Protection team in Southampton (Chandler’s Ford). Our Southampton location is home to one of our largest offices, with a bright, open-plan working space and on-site restaurant and coffee shop offering a blend of homemade meals and sweet treats.**

**About the role**
As a Finance Administrator you will play a vital role in the smooth-running of matters handled by our team of Court of Protection experts, as you will be responsible for banking, payments, reconciliations, and billing; overseeing these processes from start to finish.
Our Court of Protection fee-earners are responsible for managing the finances of highly vulnerable individuals who have received compensation as a result of a traumatic personal injury or medical negligence claim, and your support will enable the fee-earners to provide the care and support that they are renowned for.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following;
- Assisting senior fee-earners with overseeing the banking for the Court of Protection Team
- Arranging transfers of high balances pending investment
- Authorising payments from deputy accounts and keep a record of daily payments
- Updating income and expenditure to the Personal Injury Team or Medical Negligence Team
- Finalising annual accounts for OPG reports
- Preparing bills and monitoring them against annual fees estimates provided to the OPG
- Updating a central register of bank accounts for SARs compliance
- Collating certificates for tax returns
- Assisting with payroll for care teams to ensure timely payment
- Assisting with payment of pension contributions for carers

You will ideally be familiar with a wide range of finance-related duties, as well as the enthusiasm and motivation for continuous learning and development. In the longer term, we expect that you will have the opportunity to gain supervisory experience as this section of the team continues to grow.
This role entails contact with our clients and internal Partners, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key to being successful in this role.
