**Description**

We are currently looking for a **Department Lead - Loudspeakers, Amplifiers and Rigging **to join us at our Tufnell Park hire facility to service, maintain and prepare our extensive inventory of loudspeakers and their associated accessories. This role will also involve the oversight of a large proportion of our flight case inventory.

Day to day responsibilities will include the delivery of clean and tested equipment into prep rooms, inventory management and planning, and routine maintenance and repair. A contribution to the wider operation of the building will also be required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Service, maintenance and preparation of our loudspeaker and amplifier inventory, and supporting accessories.
- Preparation of flight cases for use across the wider operation.
- Working with Production Operations to ensure equipment is delivered to the prep room on time and as specified.
- Working with Production Operations to ensure compliance with the relevant manufacturer’s instructions and guidance as well as the prevailing industry ‘best practices’.
- Inventory management and tracking to ensure stock levels and movements are accurate.
- Working with Service and Technical Support departments to maintain stock of spares and parts to carry out prompt repairs and provide excellent support in the event of equipment failure.
- Maintenance and upkeep of the prep and workshop areas to the highest standards.
- Leading a small team of both full time and casual staff to ensure work is carried out to highest standard.
- Contribution to the wider Production Operation, which will include assisting other department leads as well as the loading and unloading of vehicles as required.

**Desirable skills and experience**
- Familiarity with product ranges from industry leading manufacturers such as D&B, Meyer Sound, EM Acoustics and KV2.
- Familiarity and experience with ‘best practice’ rigging in theatre and live events.
- Experience working in a busy equipment hire company would be advantageous but is not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality management.
- Excellent time management with the ability to forward plan.
- Highly organised, meticulous, and dependable with the ability to multi-task.
- Proactive and self-confident - you will need to spend periods of time working unsupervised and will be expected to manage your own time.
- Good physical health-the role will involve frequent heavy lifting and the loading and unloading of vehicles.
