The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is driving forward the Government’s key priority to level up every part of the United Kingdom, creating opportunity for everyone, regardless of where they live, and putting UK citizens at the heart of our work.

We aim to provide quick and helpful answers to correspondence and parliamentary questions. The Parliamentary and Correspondence teams handle the Department’s replies to correspondence and parliamentary questions on behalf of Ministers, and we are looking for six sub-team leaders to oversee and boost our performance. Each role will hold responsibility for a specific sub-team within the unit, working in either Ministerial correspondence, public correspondence or operations & digital.

**Job description**:
All roles will include:

Ministerial Correspondence roles:

- managing a small team responsible for delivering correspondence
- managing relationships with Ministerial offices and policy teams
- ensuring a consistently high standard of Ministerial correspondence, taking account of individual Ministers’ preferences

Public Correspondence roles:

- managing a small team responsible for delivering correspondence
- managing relationships with policy teams across the Department
- developing and maintaining effective processes for delivering a quality service for correspondence

Correspondence Operations and Digital role:

- steering specific digital transformation projects
- overseeing and improving key digital elements of the parliamentary and correspondence processes
- maintaining relationships with other DLUHC colleagues, other Government Departments and contractors.
