This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Neurosciences Directorate in the 12 month fixed-term role of Neurosciences Directorate Rota Co-ordinator. The post-holder will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the Directorate by ensuring that clear and robust medical rotas are created, disseminated and maintained.

The main duty of the post-holder will be develop and maintain electronic medical rotas for all grades of staff across the Neurosciences Directorate, including consultants and other career-grade medical staff, junior doctors in training, as well as doctors outside training.

This will involve working with Training Programme Directors (TPDs) and lead clinicians to plan, deliver, and disseminate safe, accurate and efficient clinical rotas through the appropriate deployment of clinical staff, as well as maintaining an oversight of planned and unplanned absences.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of twelve months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project’s implementation and the timescales associated with this.

The Neurosciences directorate is based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (RHH) and is the service provider for South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Lincolnshire and North Nottinghamshire. We serve a population in excess of 2.2 million people.

We are a leading specialist centre offering a full range of neuroscience services, including pioneering new medical and surgical treatments for disorders, diseases and conditions affecting any area of the central nervous system, including brain and spine.

The Neurosciences directorate includes Neurosurgery, Neurology, Hyper Acute Stroke Neuropsychotherapy, Neurophysiology, Neurosurgery and Stereotactic Radiosurgery.
