Supporting the Service Co-ordinators with Directorate administration as requested.

The Directorate of Neurosciences forms part of the Head & Neck Group along with the E.N.T., Oral & Dental and Ophthalmology services.

The Directorate of Neurosciences is one of the busiest and most varied Directorates in the Trust and patients travel from across the region and country to be treated here. Neurosciences comprises of neurology, neurosurgery, neurorehabilitation, neuro-psychotherapy, neurophysiology, stereotactic radiosurgery and TIA/stroke services.

Pre-COVID19, Neurosurgery’s 2019 activity contract was 13,000 out-patients and 1,650 elective surgical procedures. The Directorate’s annual budget is in excess of £35 million.

Working as part of such a large and diverse multi-disciplinary team, while working close with the people in your immediate area, will provide an excellent environment for you to get to know people and develop good friendships and working relationships. This provides both the opportunity for professional and personal development and the challenges to ensure that we are constantly learning and remain an evolving service.

Please view the attached Job Description and Person Specification documents for full details regarding this post.
