HR and Support Services Assistant

**Coeliac UK** currently has an exciting opportunity for a **HR and Support Services Assistant **to** **join our team based in **High Wycombe**. You will join us on a **permanent, full-time** basis working 35hrs per week. In return you will receive a competitive salary of **circa £20k-£21.5k based on experience **plus 36 days holiday a year including bank holidays.
**The HR and Support Services Assistant role**:
A Human Resources (HR) and office support role to provide effective and efficient support to the Chief Executive and the Business Services Manager. A varied role, combining a range of administrative, HR, health and safety, and facilities coordination to ensure the smooth running of the office and people side of the charity. Ideal for someone wanting to develop a career in HR.
**Key responsibilities of the HR and Support Services Assistant**:
- Manage HR administration for staff as required
- Document and manage employment contracts and HR policies
- Oversee new joiners’ induction, documentation and IT set up
- Manage staff absences
- Produce reports and information on HR and office measures as required
- Prepare advertisements for new positions as required
- Act as Deputy Safety Officer (training provided)
- Arrange training for first aiders, fire marshals etc
- Handle any building or office equipment issues as necessary
- Report building issues to landlord as required
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the HR and Support Services Assistant**:
- Interest in developing a career in HR an advantage - this role would suit someone wanting to study for CIPD qualifications
- Positive and confident

- Proactive and flexible approach
- Strong team player
- Unflappable, ‘can do’ attitude
- Educated to GCSE standard including Grade 5 or above in Maths and English
- Good communication skills for effective cross-team working
