The East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) is seeking a Digital Health Navigator to provide day to day management of all operational elements of their Digital Health Accelerator programme.

The post holder will support the Digital Health Lead with the development and delivery of the strategic vision and ensure programme outputs meet internal and external expectations and standards. They will understand the potential of digital health for service improvement and the importance of understanding health and care problems and challenges from a user and health and care system perspective.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support a wide range of stakeholders to progress innovations through the innovation pipeline and into deployments locally and nationally. They will be responsible for the end to end annual cycle of the programme including:
Support the Digital Health Lead in determining the focus / themes for each year, engaging with system stakeholders to confirm priorities and design challenge statements

Manage the selection process

Support the Digital Health Lead in designing a bespoke programme of support for each successful applicant

Develop and agree detailed implementation plans, evaluation activities and health analytics

Manage the delivery of the individual support programmes to the agreed timelines and within budget

As part of a national network of AHSNs, we import evidenced solutions from other AHSN regions and export our successful East Midlands programmes on a national basis. Essential criteria
- Educated to Masters or equivalent level in a health services management or business field, or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
- Significant change management experience in health and social care with proven ability to produce robust evidence-based business cases, endorsed by relevant stakeholders to support sustainability and spread

Knowledge

Essential criteria
- Specialist knowledge of planning, implementing and evaluating programme aims and objectives, aligned to corporate priorities and strategies
- Specialist knowledge of health and social care sector

Desirable criteria
- Commercially aware, experience or knowledge of working with industry partners

Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria
- Ability to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive information where cooperation and agreement is required from various partners.
- Ability to develop credible, productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including patients

Analytical and judgement skills

Essential criteria
- Sensitive to politics and clinical demands
- Able to review and evaluate potential project opportunities to ensure a fit and benefit to the overall EMAHSN objectives

Planning and organisation skills

- Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative and manage priorities across a number of different projects simultaneously
