Job Description

Our client based in Kintore are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

You will be assisting the accounts department in the below:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial information for the pre-assigned CAPS UK ledgers, including intercompany, fixed assets and banking
- Prepare accurate and timely reporting for the SOX reporting for the pre-assigned CAPS UK ledgers
- Support the Ledger Controller, this will include, amongst other activities, balance sheet reconciliations, aging analysis, SOX reporting and variance analysis
- Ensure the ledgers are in compliance with accounting regulations, company policies and reporting requirements
- Liaise with internal and external audit teams to support audit requirements
- Prepare monthly VAT reconciliations for review and submission
- Actively look to automate and streamline processes within the roles area of responsibility
- Performs any other job duties as assigned appropriately by UK Finance Controller and Ledger Controller
- Comply with and promote all company and HSE policies and procedures.

Desired Qualities/Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ experience, or newly graduated in accounting/finance.
- Experience of the oil and gas environment
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
- ERP Systems knowledge
