Draftsperson

**Job Title: Draught Person (SolidWorks based)**

**Location**:Kintore Aberdeen

**Department**:Engineering

**Reports to**:Engineering Manager

**Main purpose of role**:Supporting Engineering and Sales

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The main purpose of this role is to assist the engineering and sales team with drawings of current equipment and concepts for customer activity, tendering or live projects. You will report to the engineering manager but be working with all departments.

Main duties:

- Design and draw company products and concepts
- Produce 3D models
- Maintain and modify existing drawings as per requests and instructions from the drawing owners, targeted at maintaining “as built” status.
- Update the “Engineering Change Control” log and maintain the storage of the documentation on completion
- Assist the sales team with technical sales drawings
- Modelling of products into assemblies
- The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.
- Act as an ambassador for safety demonstrating safe behaviours

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Knowledge**:
Previous working knowledge of InspHire would be beneficial for inputting of part numbers and BOM details

**Skills & Competencies**:
Proficient in the use of SolidWorks (or demonstrate considerable IT aptitude)

Excellent MS Office skills - specifically Excel

**Qualifications and certification**:
Mechanical and or Design related degree would be advantageous

CAD courses to intermediate level

**Experience**:
Previous experience would be beneficial
