- To provide an administration co-ordination service to the Senior Nursing Team in the Outpatients Department;
- To be familiar with and work to the protocols and policies of the Outpatients department and the organisation;
- To maintain the dignity and self-respect of all patients, by ensuring equal access to services in order to achieve a high standard of care;
- To be aware of the Health & Safety aspects of staff, patients and visitors to the department;
- To assist the Senior Nursing team in maintaining the e-roster, reflecting any sickness absence/annual leave;
- To input and maintain the electronic booking diary, ensuring that this accurately reflects the capacity within the department;
- To act as the point of contact for service management teams with regards to additional clinic requests/requests for new substantive clinics;
- To deal with enquiries from both patients, public and other departments/agencies relating to the Outpatients Department.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.
We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.
