We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Adult Inpatient Psychological Services team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and support to patients in our inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify patients' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to promote patients' recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to promote patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in psychological services.
- Doctoral-level training in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalent psychological therapy training.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and eligibility for British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation, NHS Constitution, and risk assessment and management.
- Experience of working in inpatient settings, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis management.
