Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist to lead the development and delivery of the 'Here For You' staff wellbeing service in the acute hospital sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a trauma-informed, flexible, and holistic approach to supporting individual staff and teams, and to support the wider organisation via consultation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the provision of the 'Here For You' service at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Here For You team, consisting of Consultant, Principal and Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologists/Psychological Therapists, Social Workers, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and a dedicated Service Administrator
  • Develop and deliver training and supervision programs for staff
  • Contribute to the development of research skills for audit, policy, and service development
Requirements
  • Formal training and accreditation to Doctoral level in Clinical Psychology, or its equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996
  • Doctoral level Counselling Psychology, or equivalent psychotherapy training will be acceptable if the post holder has proven interest, skills, and experience in working with trauma and severe and enduring mental health
  • Experience of training and supervising
  • Further training in specific theoretical models
